There may be another reason if this isn't your issue.Signed in on with Browser (Firefox): yesĬhecked the nxm-link handling on either the dashboard or settings: yesĪnti-vir software: does not block, vortex got all rights in/out, read/writeĮstimated behavior: after a click on "Mod Manager Download"-Button following by the "Download"-Button of a mod the download should start in Vortex and should be seen in either the section "Downloads" or "Mods" Nexus Mod Manager is a free mod manager for games. This error shows up if you use Skyrim mods from Nexus but have Skyrim SE. Sometimes SE mods even link to regular skyrim mods as if they could be used together (which they can't). You have Skyrim Special Edition correct? What I was referring to is there are "Skyrim" mods and "Skyrim Special Edition" mods on Nexus. Not sure what you mean by "to space out Special Edition". So, I don't know if that has something to do with it, but I don't want to try and move the game file cuz i'm afraid I'll screw the entire game up. Also, I sometimes get an error that closes down the app and when I open up the trace log it says something around the lines of-this game wasn't found in the typical save location-but then it finds it.

Oh, and sorry for the extremely late reply. Originally posted by dannyhfield:First, uninstall NMM.
This might be a cop out, but you could always try Mod Organizer. There might be another file needed to run NMM that I'm not aware of. If not, then I'm not sure what is going on. Launch NMM and select Skyrim and whatever other games you have that are on the list. Go through the rest of the program and finish installing. You'll know you did it right when you see "C:\Nexus Mod Manager" and "C:\Program Files (x86)" on the same page after you have installed everything.

In other words, install it in the C drive itself. Install NMM on that hard drive so the directory path looks like this: "C:\Nexus Mod Manager". the hard drive that has the steam folder). Select the hard drive where Skyrim is installed (i.e. Then, come to the Vortex Mod Manager and choose the Settings option. Go to the installation drive of the game and create a new folder. Instead, click on "browse" or "change" (I don't remember what the text is specifically, but it'll be obvious). To fix the error, follow these steps given below and change the mod folder location on the game drive. It doesn't necessarily have to be this path but I think you get the idea.ĭon't install it in this path. You'll know it when the program asks you if "C:\Program Files (x86)" is the path you want NMM to install in. During the installation program, you will have the option of changing the directory path.
